My
Name is Sandra, my Husband Mark and I live on 100 acres in Arnprior a
small community just west of Ottawa, Ontario Canada. Growing up in
Montreal
we always had a German shepherd around. Both of us have known and loved
German Shepherds all of our lives. We started like a lot of
enthusiasts,
purchasing
our first dog, with no great plans, and doing some obedience.
In fact I
managed to get an obedience (CD) degree on my first dog

(Tradar's Lucy Honey)"Honni" who was a joy to train and show.
After about 8 years of showing and training we finally felt that we
knew
enough to think about having a litter of our own.
We were lucky enough to have found our foundation bitch "Senta". Senta
is a very
special lady, a tribute to the breed and as a bonus a great producer.
Senta traveled all the way to California to meet up with Am Ch. Rohans Glass Palace ROM and produced our first wonderful
litter. Senta, "Silverhill's Valley Girl"
gave us our first Canadian, American Champion, special friend and
companion "Big Jake", Princess (father of Strider) and Minnie. |

Everyone
who met Big Jake was struck by his presence and special style. In 2006
Big Jake appeared in the GSDCA Red Book ranked as the #11 top sire in AKC major
point show tabulations. Mark and I love dogs and enjoy sharing with dog people. In our spare
time, we give all breed show handling classes and other training to both adults
and kids. For a few years, we were fortunate enough to provide classes to the
Juniors in the Ottawa Junior Kennel club. We like to give something back to the
dog community. We feel it is important to help newcomers to the show circuit by
sharing our experiences and expertise. Our clients are great people and we all
have alot of fun. |
| We built our kennel building in 2004 shortly after moving to our new
location in Arnprior. We
have
nine indoor outdoor runs, with a separate whelping area and kitchen in the front
of the building. The building is heated in the winter and air-conditioned in
the Summer all with a new Geo-thermal Heating System which was installed in 2008. |

We
have learned a lot over the years and realize there is so much more to
learn about this wonderful breed of dog. We know now that temperament is
the most important characteristic of our dogs, followed by health, and
then all the rest.
In our breeding program these are the priorities that we pursue.
We worry a lot about the German Shepherd Breed and where it is going.
We have over the years seen problem temperaments and poor health plague
the breed. These are things which we have worked very hard to avoid
and correct.
We take every opportunity to educate and inform the public of
the wonderful qualities of the German shepherd dog. A well bred
German shepherd is intelligent, affectionate and loyal.
We support all of our puppy buyers for the life of their
dogs.
Please browse the site and keep coming back, for updates. We
would love to hear from you. |
