COVID-19-Policy

Stay home if you are showing an signs/symptoms of illness. (e.g. fever, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, tiredness, shortness of breath)

 

It is ultimately each clients/students responsibility to determine whether leaving your home and participating in  recreational activities under the rules as set out below is healthy and safe for YOU and/or the people you live with. 

Know that YOU are accepting the responsibility for attending any GBH activities and with that you are expected to abide by our requirements for our safety and the safety of others.

 

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO:

 

  • Know the signs and symptoms  of COVID 19 and stay home if you (or a family member) feel ill .  Complete the covid 19 Ontario public health assessment prior to coming to classes:  https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/

  • Wear a face mask (PPE) when unable to maintain adequate ( 2 meter) physical distance from others or if you are in a higher risk situation.  Face masks are encouraged.

  • Please bring your own poop bags, hand sanitizer, masks, gloves.   Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available on site but if we run out we will be forced to shut down until we can restock.

  • Participants will be asked to assist in wiping down surfaces such as porta potty door, gates, etc.

  • All participants will handle their own dog and leash, no sharing of anything (water, treats).  Avoid contact (touching) with other people's dogs

  • Maintain recommended distance between themselves, other participants and instructor.

  • Please do not bring guests to practice or classes.

 

GABLERIDGE BARN HUNT HAS PUT THE FOLLOWING PRACTICES IN PLACE:

 

  • Trainer/helpers will not work if they feel ill

  • GBH will ensure students/participants have access to hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray. 

  • ***BE ADVISED THAT***:  There are no hand washing facilities available on site for students/participants.

  • Blinds for practice sessions will be outdoors when possible, or indoors with three persons per blind. No chairs will be available in the blind.

  • All efforts will be made to reduce multiple persons contacting the same surfaces.

  • Training space will be ventilated as much as possible with all doors open.

  • Garbage cans with no lids will be made available to facilitate touchless disposal.

  • Signage regarding hand sanitizing, and facemasks will be posted.

  • It is ok to not wear masks outdoors or where there is a large space (ie. walking dogs outside)
