In January 2018 the CKC initiated a title recognition program for dogs achieving barn hunt titles at events hosted by the Barn Hunt Association and recognized BHA clubs in both Canada and the US.
This workshop will focus on Barn Hunt Association (BHA) rules and procedures and aimed at building ADVANCED SKILLS in Barn Hunt for those who are already involved in the sport.
We have asked Holly Nagel instructor and highly experienced BHA Judge and competitor to return and put on this advanced skills workshop for us. Holly is a Level A Judge (top level). She has studied with some of the best judges from the states of New York, PA, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia and Ontario Canada. She completed her Judges Training Workshop in PA, taught by Robin Nuttall, founder of Barn Hunt Association LLC.
Registration: Working Spots limited to 8 dogs and handlers (one dog, one handler). Audit spots persons ( with no dogs) will also be allowed. Auditors (Max 6 persons) will be actively participating in the workshop and will be asked to take on duties in the barn hunt ring. Registration is on a first come first served basis, spots are limited.
Pre-requisite: Dog/handler teams (one handler/one dog) must have achieved a BHA RATN Title and be working at the Open level in order to register for a working spot in this workshop. Minimum of RATN title is required. Auditors must have some knowledge of BHA Barn Hunt
Fee (includes tax): $ 200 working spot, $100 for audit spot. (payment instructions will be provided upon registration)
Location: Event will be held under cover, Dogs will be kept in vehicles or in crates with their owners when not in working session. Handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds issued after Aug 15 unless spot is filled from wait list and may be subject to a $5 processing fee
Food: Lunch and snacks will be included in the registration fee.
